Wim Wenders’ documentary, Pina, is a tribute to the renowned German dancer and choreographer Pina Bausch, who passed away in 2009. Pina Bausch was a much-loved choreographer whose work was unlike anybody else’s, incorporating earth, water, stones and city streets into music and movement. The film presents extracts from some of the most noted dance pieces by Pina Bausch in the Tanztheater, (“dance theater”), style of which Bausch was a leading exponent.
