After her husband’s death, 67-year-old Hana lives on alone in the family villa. Her two sons visit her with their families, but these visits frequently end in quarrels. Hana meets light-hearted Brona, a hardy fellow inured to winter swimming, who awakens her lust for life. Brona’s teammates absorb her into their swim team and as Hana learns to overcome her fear of icy water she gains a new sense of independence.
