Keith King sailed his 40-foot gaff-rigged schooner on New Hampshire’s Lake Winnipesaukee for 25 years. The wooden boat– named “Peter M. Atwood” in honor of a former student of Keith’s at Keene State College– was made by hand, by Keith and his students. The schooner was Keith’s unique classroom.

What happened to the boat? Atwood: Vessel of Life tells the story of the schooner, from its inception to its end. It’s a story of love, grief, and the inevitability of letting go.
