the colonial theatre headlines the monadnock international film festival - best in nh 2016

Up-and-coming Film Fest:

Not to take anything away from the work done by the big New Hampshire Film Festival in October, it’s noteworthy that, in the sleepy southwest corner of our state, a serious contender has emerged. Held in April, the Monadnock International Film Festival is a three-day cavalcade of independent movies designed to expose local filmgoers to a more global and diverse perspective. A highlight of the annual festival is the presentation of the Jonathan Daniels Award, named for a local civil rights martyr. The award goes to a filmmaker whose work “fuses social and/or political awareness with artistic excellence.”
